Candidates must have to fulfil the following eligibility guidelines to apply for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate West Bengal.

EWS Certificate holder will get 10% reservation benefit on any Government Jobs and admission on any Institution in West Bengal.

After submitting the EWS Application Form, the authority shall ask the applicant to appear, on a suitable date within two weeks from the date of receipt of the application, hearing and submission of proofs for verification of family income and subcaste in the manner it is done for issuance of Caste Certificate, before the following authorities :

Inspector BCW Panchayat and Municipal areas.

UGC Scholarship for Under graduate or PG students


Higher Education has had played a very vital role in the history of nation-building all over the world. It is amply clear that no rise in general standards of living and culture is possible without strengthening the higher education system in the country. It obviously calls for a multipronged strategy.


There is a need to modernize our higher education system, and equally important to continuously attract young and talented students to pursue higher education. It is being increasingly observed that the brighter lot is not pursuing Post-Graduate education in our institutions of higher learning.


To emerge as a powerful nation, there is an urgent need to bring in talented boys and girls in the field of Post-Graduate education by way of providing them with good incentives in the form of scholarships. The UGC, therefore, introduced a Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship Scheme for University undergraduate rank holders.


Eligibility


The scholarship is available to the student for first PG Degree only. Age limit for the students is 30 years at the time of admission in PG course.


Distance mode of education will not be considered under the scheme.


The Undergraduate courses from following streams have been identified for the award of scholarships: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, Languages


Before verifying applications of students the concerned Universities may ensure that applicants satisfy all norms as per guidelines.

Applications will be invited once in a year on the National Scholarship Portal of the Government of India. Short notification will also be uploaded on the UGC website.


Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Only verified online applications will be considered for award of scholarship.


The concerned University/ Institute should verify that the applicant is a first or second rank holder out of the specified total number of students who appeared in the examination at the undergraduate level as specified in the guidelines.

The application process for GATE 2020 Jobs starts from the month of September-October. Many PSUs recruiting through GATE score releases their notifications and starts the application process from next month. Quick Notes:
  • The application form will be available only in online mode through the official website.
  • It is notified that the application form will be released on 3rd September 2019.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned copy of all the relevant documents.
  • While registering for GATE 2020, candidates will be allowed to select three exam cities as the examination center.
  • There will no requirement of sending hard copy of application form to the authorities.
  • The candidates may request for change in examination city by 15th November 2019 by paying an additional fee.
Application Process
Please make a note that the application form would not be available for sale or otherwise anywhere. The application form would be accessible online on the official website of GOAPS i.e. https://appsgate.iitm.ac.in/. Please make a payment of the required application fee. For GATE 2020, all related information shall be uploaded at the GOAPS website.
During online application, candidates have to upload the signature, photograph, qualifying degree certificate, Dyslexic certificate and/or category certificate (SC/ST/PwD). They also need to provide an identity number of one of the following documents such as PAN Card, passport number, Voter ID, College ID, Aadhaar UID, Employee ID, and Driving License. If you do not hold any of these ID proofs then please get the one prior to making an application.

The exam pattern for GATE 2020 exam is given in the table below:

CSIR UGC NET JUNE 2019 RESULTS DECLARED

CSIR UGC NET June Results 2019: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on Wednesday released the result for Joint CSIR-UGC examinations.

The CSIR-UGC exam for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and lectureship was conducted in June this year.

As per reports, as many as 3860 candidates have been qualified for JRF (NET) CSIR, where as 1969 candidates have made it to JRF (NET) UGC.

DRDO Recruitment 2019: Educational qualification, eligibility

Electronics and Communication Engineering: Candidates must have at least first class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. 

The candidates must also fulfil one of these additional requirements:

GATE Qualification: They should have a valid GATE score in Electronics and Communication Engineering. 80 per cent aggregate marks required in EQ degree from an IIT or NIT.
