JOB POST: Professors, Associate and Assistant Professors at

Calicut University invites applications for the post of Faculty in various departments. The number of vacancies are as given below.

Professors: 24

Associate Professors: 29

Assistant Professors: 63

Qualifications

Professor

A. (i) An eminent scholar having PhD degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120.

(ii) A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates

OR

B. An outstanding professional, having PhD degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline in any academic institutions (not included in A above)/industry with 10 years’s experience.

Associate Professor

(i) A good academic record, with PhD degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline

(ii) A Masters’ degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent

(iii) A minimum of 8 years experience in teaching and /or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor.

Assistant Professor

A. (i) A Masters’ degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR or similar test.

OR

B. The PhD degree  has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking of top 500 in the world university ranking.
