Post Details

1. Research Associate

The SKBET centre is looking for a research associate to work on probiotics research area at IIT Bhubaneswar. The position will be offered initially for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal thereafter based on the review of performance.

Minimum Qualification: PhD with first class or equivalent in life sciences with a consistently very good academic record throughout and evidence of ability to pursue independent high-quality research.
Experience:
- The candidate must have published at least 2 research articles in a peer-reviewed high-quality journal(s) as a lead author on probiotics research. Candidates with prior experience in cell culture and mouse handling will be given priority.
- The candidate should be able to work in coordination with other team members. The candidate should have experience in scientific writings and grant writings. Experience in analytical instrumentation and data analysis is expected but not mandatory.
Salary: 47000/- + HRA

2. Project Assistant

The SKBET centre is looking for a project assistant to work on probiotics research area at IIT Bhubaneswar. The position will be offered initially for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal thereafter based on the review of performance.

Minimum Qualification: M.Sc. with first class or equivalent in life sciences with a consistently very good academic record throughout.
Experience:
- The candidate should have working experience in microbiology. Experience in cell culture techniques and molecular biology techniques will be given preference. Prior experience in the probiotics research will be preferred.
- The candidate should be able to work in coordination with other team members. Experience in analytical instrumentation and data analysis is expected but not mandatory. The candidate should have experience in scientific writing.
Salary: Rupees 31000/- + HRA (With NET/GATE) and 25000/- + HRA (W/o NET/GATE)

3. Project Technician

The SKBET centre is looking for a project assistant to work on probiotics research area at IIT Bhubaneswar. The position will be offered initially for a period of one year with possibility of renewal thereafter based on the review of performance.

Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. with first class or equivalent in life sciences with a consistently very good academic record throughout.
Experience:
- The candidate should have knowledge of handling various instruments related to microbiology, cell biology, and molecular biology. The candidate should have taken basic training in microbiology and cell biology techniques.
- Prior working experience in the field of probiotics will be given preference. The candidate should be able to work in coordination with other team members. Experience in analytical instrumentation and data analysis is expected.
Salary: Rupees 25000/- + HRA

Raman Research Fellowship 2020-21 at CSIR [Grants Upto Rs. 1.75 L]: Apply by Feb 15

CSIR invites applications for Raman Research Fellowship 2020-21. The Fellowship is granted to the CSIR Scientists for carrying out research in the emerging/ high priority areas in reputed foreign institutions/ R&D Centres of Excellence to enhance their R&D skills/ capability. The Fellowship is tenable abroad at CSIR cost.

Eligibility

Regular Scientists of CSIR with high academic qualifications (Postgraduate in Engineering and PhD in Natural Science / Technology/ Engineering) and research experience, presently working in high priority areas, (FTT / Mission mode projects / NIMITLI projects / major programmes of Institute) who have completed a minimum 5 years of service in CSIR on the last date for receipt of the applications.

The applicant must have made a commendable contribution to research/innovation in the proposed area, which should be of international level. Fellowship should not be sought for training or to carry out tests, etc. using facilities in the host institute. The RRF must be sought to further enhance the skills/capability and fill in technological gaps. The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age as on February 15, 2020.

West Bengal EWS Certificate Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have to fulfil the following eligibility guidelines to apply for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate West Bengal.

EWS Certificate holder will get 10% reservation benefit on any Government Jobs and admission on any Institution in West Bengal.

1. Persons who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SC, ST and OBC can apply for EWS Certificate.

2. The gross annual family income should be below ₹ 8.00 lakh from all the sources like salary, agriculture, business, profession etc for the financial year prior to the year of application.

3. Persons whose families do not own or process any of the following assets –

5 acres of agriculture land and above.

Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft and above.

Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities.

Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities.

The property held by a family in different locations would be clubbed together for determining EWS status.

4. The term ‘family’ for this purpose we include the persons who seek the benefit of reservation, his/her parents and siblings below the age of 18 years as also his/her spouse band children below the age of 18 years.

Income and Asset Certificate Issuing Authority

Enquiry and Verification Process

After submitting the EWS Application Form, the authority shall ask the applicant to appear, on a suitable date within two weeks from the date of receipt of the application, hearing and submission of proofs for verification of family income and subcaste in the manner it is done for issuance of Caste Certificate, before the following authorities :

Inspector BCW Panchayat and Municipal areas.

DWO, Kolkata for KMC areas.

Verifications of immovable assets like agriculture land, residential flat / plot shall be done by the BL & LRO for Panchayat and Municipal areas. In KMC areas such verification shall be done by the BL & LRO / Chief Valuer / Surveyor.
